At Westpac NZ, we're looking for an emerging communications professional who is passionate about creating engaging content, bringing ideas to life, and finding fresh ways to connect people with what matters most. You may have started your career in communications in the past few years and are looking for your next career move. This role reports to our Senior Manager Corporate Communications and sits within the wider People and Communications team.

As our Corporate Communications Specialist, you'll help shape some of Westpac's most visible internal communications. From company-wide updates on strategy and performance to culture initiatives, leadership communications and enterprise publications, you'll play a key role in how we inform, inspire and engage our people.

Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?

  • 3 –5 years' experience in internal or external communications, journalism or a related field.
  • Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills, with the ability to turn complex information into engaging content.
  • A creative mindset, curiosity and a willingness to bring fresh ideas and new approaches.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a commitment to producing high-quality communications.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and confidence working with a range of stakeholders.
  • Sound judgement and a thoughtful approach to communication.
  • A proactive, organised mindset, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver at pace.
  • A collaborative approach and genuine enthusiasm for working as part of a team.
  • Experience creating multimedia content, including video production and editing, would be an advantage.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification is preferred.
