As we shape this future together, we're looking for an experienced Events Coordinator to play a key role in delivering Unitec's flagship Graduation ceremonies and supporting other high-profile institutional events. About the role
Reporting to the Event Manager, you'll be responsible for the end-to-end coordination and delivery of large-scale graduation ceremonies and other key events. From planning and stakeholder engagement through to on-the-day delivery, you'll ensure every event runs smoothly and provides an exceptional experience for graduates, whānau, staff and guests.
Key responsibilities include
Coordinating the planning and delivery of Unitec's Graduation ceremonies.
Managing event logistics including venues, suppliers, catering, staging and audio-visual requirements.
Coordinating graduate communications, invitations and RSVPs.
Preparing event plans, run sheets and contingency plans
Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
Leading on-the-day event operations and troubleshooting.
Supporting continuous improvement through post-event reviews and reporting.

About you
You'll be an organised and confident events professional who enjoys juggling multiple priorities and thrives in fast-paced environments.
You'll bring
At least five years' experience delivering large-scale events.
Experience coordinating graduation ceremonies, milestone celebrations or other high-profile events.
Strong project and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent organisation, attention to detail and problem-solving capability
Budget management experience.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
A collaborative approach and commitment to delivering exceptional experiences.
