What You’ll Do

As our Data Operations Manager, you'll lead the ongoing operation, reliability and performance of Genesis' enterprise data platforms. You'll oversee DataOps capabilities across Databricks, Power BI, machine learning operations and legacy data environments, ensuring critical business systems remain available, secure and aligned to future platform strategy.

Some Of The Key Responsibilities Are

  • Lead the operational management of enterprise data products, platforms and services across the Azure ecosystem
  • Drive platform reliability, availability and performance for Databricks, Power BI, DataOps and ML Ops environments
  • Shape and execute platform strategy as Genesis continues its data modernisation and AI adoption journey
  • Lead vendor and partner relationships, including Microsoft and key delivery partners, ensuring strong service outcomes
  • Manage operational governance, incident management and escalation processes aligned with ITIL practices and service levels
  • Lead the delivery of Data Operations services through a combination of internal capability and strategic partners.

What You’ll Bring

You'll be an experienced people leader with a strong background in data operations, platform management and service delivery, able to balance strategic thinking with operational execution.

You will also bring;

  • Experience leading Data Operations, Data Platform or Data Engineering support functions
  • Strong understanding of Azure data platforms, including Databricks, Power BI and enterprise data ecosystems
  • Proven experience developing platform roadmaps and operational strategies
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL frameworks, service management and incident management practices
  • Experience managing vendors, outsourced service providers and stakeholder relationships
  • Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing technical teams
