Senior Accounts Payable Officer – Finance Systems & Automation

Based at our Head Office, you'll play an important role in ensuring supplier invoices are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time across the Carrfields Agri Group.

This is more than a traditional Accounts Payable position. You'll become the first line of review for supplier invoices, helping improve financial accuracy while supporting the ongoing rollout of our invoice processing system. Working closely with finance and operational teams, you'll help strengthen our financial controls while identifying opportunities to improve the way we work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review supplier invoices for accuracy, coding and approvals

  • Ensure invoices are allocated correctly across business units and cost centres

  • Investigate and resolve invoice queries and processing exceptions

  • Prepare Accounts Payable payment batches

  • Support the day-to-day administration of our AI-assisted invoice processing system

  • Monitor system performance and help improve automation accuracy

  • Raise intercompany recharge invoices and journals where required

  • Assist with audit requirements and financial reporting support

  • Work collaboratively with finance and operational teams across the business

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls and efficiencies

Minimum Requirements

  • Proven experience in Accounts Payable or a transactional finance role
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent accuracy
  • Experience reviewing and coding supplier invoices
  • Good understanding of cost centres and financial coding
  • Confidence using finance systems and Microsoft Office
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively while managing competing priorities

Preferred (but not essential)

  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
  • Experience working with invoice automation or AI-enabled finance systems
  • Experience in a multi-entity or group finance environment
  • Exposure to internal controls or audit processes
