We are currently seeking a skilled Heavy Metal Fabricator to join our Red Stag Timber Weekend Maintenance team on a permanent basis. Red Stag Timber is a leading timber processing company known for its innovation and commitment to quality.

This role will be working on sawmilling equipment. Mainly focusing on but not limited to fabrication and heavy industrial fitting. This is a hands-on position.

To be successful you will

Hold a NZ recognised trade qualification in Fabrication L4 or equivalent

Have proven experience in heavy metal fabrication/ industrial fitting

Ability to work effectively collaborating within a dynamic team on both breakdown and scheduled work

Proficiency in welding, gas cutting, arc air

Have demonstrated history of being a team player and a ‘Safety first’ approach to planning and carrying out non-routine tasks

Analytical troubleshooting ability

Hours of work are 40 hours Friday – Monday 6am – 4.30pm, on a weekend dayshift with occasional overtime available as required.

Competitive remuneration package is on offer to the successful candidates with proven skills and knowledge, including weekly tool allowance, weekend shift rates and an overtime rate of time and a half for all work over 40 hours per week.
