We have opportunities across our Line 2 Enterprise and Operational Risk team at both Manager and Senior Manager level.

These roles sit within Line 2 and focus on monitoring and oversight of operational and compliance risk across allocated business units. You’ll play a key role in strengthening risk maturity, lifting capability, and enabling better risk outcomes across ASB.

These roles offer scope to influence, challenge, and shape risk outcomes at scale.

Te mahi | What you’ll do

M onitor changes in risk profiles, including risks, incidents, issues, control effectiveness, and emerging risks
Provide credible challenge and advice to improve control maturity and risk outcomes
Execute the Line 2 Approve or Accept mandate across material risk decisions at a divisional level
Surface insights and themes through high-quality reporting to senior stakeholders
Ensure the consistent application of operational and compliance risk frameworks across the bank
Build trusted relationships and influence risk conversations and decisions in committees and forums

Te hua | What you’ll bring

We’re open to candidates at both Manager and Senior Manager level

Manager level

~5years’ experience in financial services, risk, compliance or audit
Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
Ability to influence stakeholders and communicate risk clearly
Developing confidence in providing challenge and advice

Senior Manager level

7+ years’ experience in financial services or risk environments
Proven ability to lead complex risk discussions and influence senior stakeholders
Strong commercial judgement and ability to identify and mitigate non-financial risk early
Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including clear, concise reporting

For both levels

Critical thinking and strong analytical skills
Ability to build relationships and collaborate across teams
Appetite to learn, grow and continuously lift risk capability
