About the role

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our high performing Business Development team in our Auckland office. This is a key role partnering with lawyers across the firm to develop compelling client proposals, support strategic client initiatives and contribute to the firm’s continued growth.

In this role you will be

  • Managing end-to-end proposals, tenders and client pitches.
  • Partnering with lawyers to develop pursuit strategies and compelling, client-focused responses.
  • Supporting the planning and delivery of initiatives within the firm’s key client programme and industry groups.
  • Coaching partners and lawyers on proposal best practice and presentation preparation.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve business development processes and proposal management, including leveraging AI and other technology to enhance efficiency, collaboration and the quality of our client deliverables.

About you

You will be an experienced business development professional with a track record of managing successful proposals and delivering client related initiatives within a professional services environment.

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Excellent writing, editing and communication skills.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management experience.
  • An interest in emerging technologies, including AI, and how they can enhance business development and client service.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines.
  • Commercial acumen, curiosity and a client-focused mindset.
  • A collaborative approach and a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Experience in a professional services environment will be highly advantageous.
