Play a key role in delivering impactful communications and memorable events that strengthen our brand, engage our audiences, and support business growth.
As our Communications & Events Specialist, you will lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of marketing communications and events across multiple customer segments, including health, life, iwi, and international visitors. You'll also maximise the value of nib's sponsorships through creative and engaging activations that enhance brand awareness and customer engagement.
Working closely with internal stakeholders, sales teams, product specialists, marketers, and external partners, you'll ensure communications are clear, consistent, and delivered on time, while creating seamless event experiences that reflect our brand and values.
This role is responsible for the end-to-end management of internal and external events, from concept development and planning through to execution and evaluation. You'll create engaging experiences that connect with customers, support our sales channels, increase awareness, and contribute to positive member outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and delivering effective marketing and business communications across multiple audiences
- Planning and executing high-quality internal and external events
- Managing event logistics, stakeholder engagement, budgets, and vendor relationships
- Leveraging sponsorship opportunities to create impactful brand activations
- Ensuring all communications and events align with brand standards and business objectives
- Supporting initiatives that enhance member experience, engagement, and satisfaction
- Collaborating across teams to deliver integrated campaigns and event experiences
About you | Ko Wai Koe
We're looking for a communications and events professional with at least three years' experience delivering engaging communications, coordinating events, and supporting marketing initiatives. Experience within the insurance, financial services, or health sectors will be highly regarded.
You'll be confident managing stakeholder relationships, possess strong business acumen, and have proven experience delivering corporate events from planning through to execution. You'll also be comfortable measuring the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and using insights to drive continuous improvement.
Exceptional written communication skills are essential, with the ability to create clear, engaging, and effective copy for a variety of audiences and channels.
You'll bring:
- Ability to work independently and possess effective problem solving skills
- Proven ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities
- Proven ability to work to deadlines and deliverables
- Experience managing relationships with external agencies
- Tertiary degree in Marketing / Business (preferred)
- Understanding of digital and social media (preferred)
