Your day-to-day would look like
- Lead the end-to-end management of large loss and complex property claims, ensuring accurate assessments, timely decisions, and exceptional customer outcomes.
- Coach, support, and develop a team of Property Assessors while overseeing day-to-day operations, quality standards, compliance, and performance.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to resolve escalations, improve claims delivery, reduce fraud risk, and enhance operational efficiency.
In your first 6-12 months, success will look like:
- Build a high-performing Property Assessing team with strong capability, engagement, and consistent quality outcomes.
- Reduce claim cycle times and improve customer satisfaction through effective escalation management and timely assessments.
- Strengthen relationships and performance outcomes with external assessing and property service partners.
- Embed continuous improvement initiatives that enhance process efficiency, knowledge sharing, and claims consistency.
- Successfully integrate Property Assessing into the wider claims journey, contributing to strategic objectives, operational excellence, and reduced claims leakage.
To thrive in this role, you'll need
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in leading a Property Assessing team.
- Demonstrated experience in structural property repair procedures and standards, including the Building Act and Local Territory Government requirements.
- Experience in administration, cost control, and the preparation of assessing reports.
- Relevant industry certifications are a plus
- Extensive knowledge and application of relevant legislation and compliance requirements.
- Understanding of building and other supplier contracts.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability to navigate complex claims and customer situations.
- Self-motivated and able to work autonomously while delivering high-quality outcomes
