We’re looking for a Paving Labourer to join our Dunedin team and support a range of projects across the region. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being outdoors, working as part of a solid crew, and taking pride in doing good work that keeps New Zealand moving.

You’ll be backed by an experienced team, trusted to get stuck in, and given the chance to learn, grow and build a career in the industry.

Ngā tino kawenga mahi | Key role responsibilities

  • Take part in pre-start meetings and risk planning before work begins.
  • Support labouring activities involved in placing asphalt across a variety of projects.
  • Operate hand-held equipment safely and effectively.
  • Work closely with the paving crew, Supervisor and wider team to get the job done right.
  • Build Your skills over time, including working towards WTR endorsement and operating paving machinery.

Kei te kimi mātou i tētahi e whai ana i ēnei pūkenga | We’re looking for someone with

  • Minimum Class 1 Driver Licence.
  • Construction experience is advantageous.
  • Strong focus on safety and quality.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, travel, and stay out of town when needed.
  • Willingness to learn, progress, and carry out the inherent requirements of a physical outdoor role.
