Due to sustained growth and a project pipeline that shows no signs of slowing, our client is seeking an established Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their high-performing Auckland team. Key Responsibilities

  • Liaising with clients, architects, and main contractors
  • Identifying and facilitating new business opportunities
  • Master plan and feasibility budgets
  • Estimating
  • Cost checking of developing design
  • Value engineering
  • Tender evaluations and analysis
  • Contract negotiations
  • Cash flow projections
  • Procurement
  • Cost reporting
  • Evaluation of variations
  • Payment recommendations
  • Final account reporting
  • Claims preparation, presentation, negotiation and settlement of claims
  • Investment analysis
  • Formulating and implementing benchmarking processes to improve the consistency, accuracy and time to prepare cost models and plans

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing complex projects
  • 7+ years project experience
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying
  • Extensive experience in cost estimating and planning software / CostX
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
