We're Hiring: Commercial Project Manager - Auckland | Full-time

As our next Commercial Project Manager, you’ll own major commercial and industrial solar installations from vision to reality. Every project you drive slashes emissions, delivers tangible savings for communities, and leaves a legacy of progress across Aotearoa.

This is a hands-on, technical leadership role, reporting to our Chief Operating Officer. You'll stand at the intersection of Commercial Sales, Engineering, and Installation Teams — steering a direct internal team while orchestrating a network of specialist contractors. And you won't just manage from a spreadsheet: you'll see the tangible result of your work rise on rooftops and sites across the region.

What you'll be doing

• Reviewing sales proposals and building detailed project schedules across concurrent jobs.
• Spotting project risks early and implementing mitigation strategies to protect delivery timelines and margin.
• Driving distributed generation (DG) applications and the design/organisation of PV switchboards.
• Standing as the senior technical authority on-site -- resolving design conflicts, running site walkthroughs, and commissioning complex industrial electrical work.
• Preparing site-specific Health and Safety plans and holding every project to strict Health and Safety and WorkSafe Standards.
• Leading, mentoring, and performance-managing project coordinators, lead installers, and field technicians.
• Identifying and onboarding specialist contractors across electrical, roofing, civil, and structural trades.

What you'll bring

Commercial solar infrastructure delivery experience is essential.

• Construction or energy sector experience is a strong asset.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• A technical, values-driven approach to project leadership.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills — building and maintaining relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
• Strong problem-solving, risk management, and decision-making abilities.
• Strong Health and Safety discipline and stakeholder management skills.
• Solid knowledge of renewable energy technologies and compliance standards.
• Proficiency with MS Project, Smartsheet, Monday.com, Procore, Aconex, AutoCAD, PV design software, and Xero/CRM platforms.
• Advanced Skills in the Microsoft 365 Suite, Slack, cloud document storage, and reporting dashboards.
