Internship Programme 2026 / 2027

Our 12-week Summer Internship Programme gives you the chance to take what you’ve learned at university and apply it in the real world. You’ll gain hands-on experience, work on live projects, and learn from experienced teams who are there to support your growth — all while making a real impact.

What you’ll be doing

• Working on real infrastructure projects across civil, structures, marine, road maintenance, and utilities
• Applying your technical knowledge in practical, site-based environments
• Supporting project teams with planning, problem-solving, and delivery
• Building relationships with experienced engineers and industry professionals
• Gaining insight into how major projects are delivered from start to finish

Over the summer, you won’t just observe - you’ll contribute, learn, and grow.

Who can apply

Currently in your second or third year of study towards a degree in:

• Civil Engineering
• Structural Engineering

With the intention to return to university following the internship to continue and complete your degree. You will also have NZ/Australian citizen or NZ permanent residency, a Full Class 1 Driver Licence (or working towards this)
