This is an exciting opportunity to help define how Data and AI evolve at NZ Post. As our Principal Data & AI Architect, you'll set the direction for our data ecosystem and AI capabilities, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, practical and aligned to our enterprise architecture vision. You'll work at the intersection of strategy and delivery, helping teams make great architectural decisions that create value today and position us for the future.

As a trusted advisor across the organisation, you'll partner with architects, technology leaders, data specialists, and business stakeholders to shape how data and AI are adopted at scale. You'll define architecture patterns and guardrails, champion responsible AI practices, guide teams to deliver production-ready solutions, and influence enterprise-wide decisions that balance innovation, risk and long-term value. If you're energised by solving complex problems and helping organisations realise the value of AI, this is the role where you can make a genuine impact.

Mōu - About You

We're looking for a proven Architect with experience shaping solutions in complex enterprise environments. You'll already have established yourself in an architecture role and be excited by the opportunity to apply your expertise to some of NZ Post's most important Data & AI challenges.

You'll be a confident communicator who can shape thinking, influence strategic decisions and build credibility across technical and business audiences. Experience designing and delivering AI-enabled capabilities in production environments, and turning emerging technologies into practical business value, will set you apart.

You'll Bring

• Proven experience working as an Architect in complex environments
• Experience shaping and delivering AI-enabled and data-driven solutions
• Strong understanding of modern cloud, data and integration platforms
• Ability to influence decisions and drive alignment across stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills with technical and business audiences
• A pragmatic approach that balances innovation, risk and outcomes
