We're looking for an Operations Manager - Construction to join our Construction team in Central Otago. You'll lead the safe and efficient delivery of construction operations, coordinate people, plant and resources across multiple projects, and provide strong leadership to operational teams. Your work will help us deliver high-quality infrastructure projects while maintaining exceptional safety, productivity and client outcomes.

As our Operations Manager, you'll play a critical leadership role in overseeing the day-to-day delivery of construction projects across the region. Working across multiple sites, you'll lead operational teams, manage resources, support project delivery, and build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll drive safety, performance, quality outcomes and continuous improvement while ensuring Fulton Hogan's REAL values are lived every day.

- Lead the operational delivery of construction projects and work programmes across the region.
- Coordinate crews, plant, equipment, materials and subcontractors to achieve programme targets safely and efficiently.
- Plan and sequence work activities to deliver productivity, quality and client outcomes.
- Coach, develop and support supervisors, foremen and operational teams to foster a high-performance culture.
- Monitor project progress, manage operational challenges and optimise resource utilisation across projects.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.

- Proven experience leading construction operations, civil construction teams, or large-scale project delivery environments.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach and develop teams.
- Excellent operational planning, resource management and problem-solving abilities.
- A strong commitment to health, safety, quality and environmental performance.
- Experience managing plant, people, subcontractors and competing operational priorities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder relationship management skills.
- A proactive, practical approach with a "can-do" attitude and focus on continuous improvement.
