Griffin's Snacks
Remote
Auckland – Ellerslie Head Office | Griffin’s Snacks
At Griffin’s we make some of Aotearoa’s most loved snacks — the kind people have strong loyalty to, and happily reach for again and again. Behind those products is a commercial team that blends insight, analytics, customer sentiment and a healthy dose of creativity to shape what shows up on shelf and how it performs.
We’re looking for a senior FMCG category leader to join us as our Head of Category & Revenue Growth Management – NZ. This is a highly visible leadership role where you’ll shape the NZ category strategy, lead customer engagement, own pricing and promotional effectiveness, and help unlock sustainable growth across fun, high-interest categories that sit right in the middle of big commercial decisions.
The Role
You’ll lead the NZ category and revenue growth management agenda across multiple categories and key customers. You’ll influence across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, NPD, customer teams and ANZ category leaders, connecting the dots between data, shopper behaviour, customer needs and commercial performance.
This is a brilliant opportunity for a commercially sharp category leader who loves the mix of science and magic that sits at the heart of great category strategy. You will bring together analytics, customer insight, price and promotion effectiveness, creativity and long-range vision to shape where our categories go next.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the NZ customer and category strategy, creating plans that address customer needs, category opportunities and commercial growth ambitions.
- Turn data, insight and market understanding into compelling stories and clear recommendations that influence internal teams and retail partners.
- Own NZ pricing, promotional strategy and revenue growth initiatives, using analytics and judgement to improve mix, margin, profitability and share.
- Lead range reviews, AOP input, Revenue Mix forums, Sales & Marketing meetings and Go To Market planning for key initiatives.
- Coach and lead a small, capable NZ category team, helping them focus on the work that matters most and champion strong category thinking.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Significant experience across Category, Trade Marketing, Revenue Growth Management, Key Account Management, Sales or Marketing within FMCG - other retail or pharma backgrounds may also be relevant where there is strong customer and category exposure.
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to turn analysis into clear “what now?” recommendations and confident commercial choices.
- Confidence working with customer, category and shopper data tools such as IRI, Nielsen, Excel and PowerPoint; exposure to Dunnhumby or Quantium would be an advantage.
- A customer-savvy mindset and strong storytelling ability — able to understand retailer challenges, build credible strategies and bring people with you.
- The ambition and track record to step into a senior leadership role — whether you’re already leading category, or ready to step up from a strong National Sales or Commercial leadership role.
Why Join Griffin’s?
- Work in genuinely fun, loved and high-growth categories where consumers are passionate and the commercial opportunities are real.
- Take on a senior, visible commercial leadership role that sits close to the action across category, sales, marketing, finance, supply chain and NPD.
- Enjoy the freedom to identify what matters, pick the opportunities worth chasing and make a meaningful impact without being boxed into one narrow lane.
- Join a down-to-earth, connected team where broad thinking, smart prioritisation and entrepreneurial energy are valued.
- Be part of a local NZ role with ANZ and global backing, giving you both influence and exposure in a fast-moving FMCG environment.
