We're looking for a strong, resilient Support Worker - someone who's got the heart and strength to step up and support with complex behavioural needs. You'll be helping the people we support to manage emotions, stay safe, and grow. You'll be fully trained and have a solid team behind you

Your Responsibilities Include
- Building independence: Help people grow their daily living skills, from catching public transport to cooking their own meals.
- Supporting daily life: Assist with personal care routines such as showering, getting dressed, taking medication and looking after their own home.
- Pursuing goals and interests: Encourage and support people to engage in their interests, hobbies, and personal goals.
- Staying healthy and well: Support healthy choices and overall wellbeing in a way that works for each person.
- Supporting complex behaviours: Provide calm, consistent support utilising positive behaviour strategies while ensuring dignity, safety, and respect.
- Creating connections: Support and strengthen relationships with whānau, colleagues, and the wider community.

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bring
- We are looking for someone with some life experience and the right attitude.
- Previous experience supporting people with complex behavioural support needs is beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided.
- Flexibility to work rostered shifts including days, evenings, sleepovers, and weekends (you will be required to work one weekend a fortnight, both days)
- A calm nature and confidence to work with challenging behaviours.
- Comfortable and proficient in using computers and tablets daily.
- Strong clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Physically fit to support activities in the community, daily walks, attending a gym programme and the ability to keep safe in heightened situations.
- A Full NZ driver's license
