We're seeking an experienced and people-focused Cleaning Contract Manager to lead our cleaning and venue support services at Hnry Stadium, a landmark destination for major sporting events, concerts, corporate functions and community gatherings.

About the Role
As the Cleaning Contract Manager, you will take ownership of the planning, delivery and continuous improvement of cleaning and event support operations across the stadium.
You'll lead a diverse workforce of supervisors, permanent employees and casual event staff, ensuring every event is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
This role combines operational leadership, workforce planning, client relationship management and service excellence, with the opportunity to play a key role in delivering some of Wellington's most exciting events.
Please note: Flexibility is essential, as occasional evening and weekend work will be required to support major events.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all ISS cleaning and venue support operations at Hnry Stadium
Plan, coordinate and resource daily operations and major events
Recruit, coach and develop high-performing teams
Build strong partnerships with stadium management and stakeholders
Ensure contractual obligations and service standards are consistently achieved
Manage labour budgets, workforce planning and operational performance
Champion a culture of health, safety and wellbeing
Conduct site inspections, audits and quality reviews
Oversee event preparation, delivery and post-event evaluations
Drive operational improvements and service excellence
About You
You are a proven leader who enjoys building engaged teams, delivering operational excellence and creating positive client experiences.
To be successful, you'll bring:
- Experience in facilities management, cleaning services, hospitality, venue management, stadium operations or event services
- Demonstrated success leading large and diverse teams
- Strong workforce planning, rostering and labour management experience
- Budget management and operational performance expertise
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- Strong organisational and time-management capabilities
- Sound knowledge of health and safety practices
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and workforce management systems
- Applicants must hold New Zealand residency or a valid New Zealand work visa.
- Current New Zealand Driver Licence.
Experience within stadiums, major events, entertainment venues or large-scale service operations will be highly regarded.
