The opportunity

We are looking for highly capable Paving Plant Operators to join our Asphalt Surfacing team working across Canterbury and Marlborough. These roles are suited to experienced operators who can take ownership of their plant, contribute to crew performance, and consistently deliver high-quality paving outcomes.

You will be part of a skilled paving crew responsible for delivering asphalt surfacing works to a high standard. We are specifically seeking operators who bring strong, well-rounded experience across key paving plant, with the ability to step into critical roles within the crew.

About you

Our ideal candidates will have the following skills and experience:

• Must be self-motivated and driven to succeed
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in asphalt paving operations
• Demonstrated capability across paver operation, screed/levels, and rolling
• Experience working with modern paving equipment (e.g. Vögele, Hamm, Sakai or equivalent)
• Strong understanding of asphalt behaviour, placement, and compaction requirements
• Ability to consistently deliver high-quality finishes
• Proven reliability, team mindset, and strong work ethic
• Commitment to safety and following site procedures
