We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer - React Native to join a high-performing product engineering team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of next-generation mobile applications that support a global customer base. Working within an agile environment, you will collaborate closely with product, design, backend engineering and QA teams to deliver high-quality features across both iOS and Android platforms.

Key responsibilities include

• Developing and maintaining mobile applications using React Native
• Delivering high-quality, scalable and maintainable code
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features
• Integrating APIs and managing application state effectively
• Supporting app releases and deployments across mobile app stores
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team

Please note: This is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity and is not a permanent position.

Ngā uara me ngā pūkenga e angitu ai koe | What you'll need to succeed

• Proven commercial experience developing mobile applications using React Native across iOS and Android
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript, React Navigation and common React Native libraries
• Experience integrating APIs and managing application state
• Understanding of native mobile modules and app store deployment processes
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams Applicants must have valid New Zealand working rights to be considered for this position.
