Our Albany branch in Auckland is seeking an empathetic and experienced Counsellor for a fulfilling opportunity, giving you the tools you need to support people the way they deserve to be taken care of – the Pacific Health way.

Main Responsibilities

• Deliver focused interventions enabling clients to utilise health coping mechanisms at work and life
• Visit worksites to provide support after an event disruption
• Deliver counselling services via in-person, video and telehealth
• Deliver training to customer employees

The Ideal Candidate

• A strong sense of others – we’re looking for sensitivity and empathy as traits
• Current APC with NZAC, DAPAANZ, SWRB or NZCCA
• Tertiary level 7 Counselling or related qualification and a minimum of five years of post-study experience in general counselling is required.
• Knowledge of evidence-based therapy models e.g. SFT, CBT, FACT is desirable
• Can work independently and attend on-sites for psychological first aid
• Experience in trauma intervention, psychological first-aid
