About the role

As our Facilities Coordinator, you'll be the friendly face of our Dunsandel site while playing a key support role behind the scenes to ensure our facilities operate smoothly across both our Dunsandel site and Christchurch office.

You'll build highly transferable skills in a fast-paced, multi-site environment while working with teams across the entire organisation. You'll gain valuable commercial experience and exposure across facilities management, workplace operations, maintenance coordination and business support.

This role is available to start from September to allow for a smooth handover.

What You'll Be Doing

At the heart of our operations, you'll be the person who supports in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes while creating a welcoming experience for everyone.

  • Being the face of Synlait, welcoming visitors, managing front-of-house reception and responding to phone and general enquiries.
  • Providing coordination support to the Facilities Manager to ensure the day-to-day operation of our Dunsandel and Christchurch office space.
  • Managing Facilities ServiceDesk requests, coordinating minor repairs, and contractor support to keep our sites operating seamlessly.
  • Building strong relationships with contractors, courier providers, cleaning teams and service partners, ensuring work is completed to a high standard.
  • Partnering with teams across the business to solve problems, respond to requests and deliver an exceptional workplace experience for everyone at Synlait.
  • Keeping our workplaces stocked and ready to go by ordering stationery, café supplies, cleaning products and other workplace essentials.
  • Creating a great first impression for new employees by coordinating lockers, access cards, office equipment, EV charger access and other workplace essentials before day one.

What You'll Bring

  • Organised and able to keep multiple priorities on track in a busy environment.
  • Calm under pressure and adaptable when things change quickly.
  • A natural relationship builder who connects easily with people at all levels.
