We're looking for an experienced Distribution Insights Analyst to join our Workforce Management team within Enterprise Process Excellence. This is a unique opportunity to combine your technical analytics expertise with strong stakeholder engagement skills, helping influence frontline performance and distribution outcomes across one of New Zealand's leading banks.
In this role, you'll play a critical role in delivering high-quality reporting, maintaining and enhancing key dashboards, and translating complex data into actionable insights that support better business decisions for our frontline.
Mō te tūranga | About the role
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Workforce Management, you'll work closely with stakeholders across Distribution and Enterprise Operations to deliver timely, accurate and meaningful reporting and analytics.
You'll maintain and enhance a suite of reporting assets, respond to evolving business requirements, and partner with leaders to help them better understand performance, trends and opportunities. This is a highly visible role where your work will directly influence operational decision-making and frontline outcomes.
You'll have the opportunity to work with modern data and visualisation tools while collaborating with forecasting, scheduling, rostering and reporting specialists across the wider Workforce Management team.
In This Role, You Will
- Maintain, support and continuously improve a portfolio of dashboards and reporting solutions used across Distribution and frontline teams.
- Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities and insights that support informed business decisions.
- Transform data into compelling stories and visualisations that resonate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Deliver accurate, timely and high-quality reporting and analytics outputs.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, manage expectations and provide valuable insights.
- Develop and enhance automated reporting solutions and strategic data capabilities.
- Partner with data experts, analytics users and business stakeholders to ensure reporting delivers maximum value.
- Support the ongoing development and optimisation of reporting processes, standards and documentation.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment through knowledge sharing and cross-functional support.
- Ensure appropriate risk management practices and data governance standards are maintained.

You'll Bring
- Strong experience in data analytics, business intelligence, insights or reporting roles.
- Advanced SQL skills and demonstrated experience working with large and complex datasets.
- Strong experience with Tableau and Power BI for dashboard development and data visualisation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking capability.
- The ability to translate technical concepts and data into practical business insights.
- Proven stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage across all levels of an organisation.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience balancing multiple priorities while maintaining high levels of accuracy and quality.
- A collaborative approach and willingness to share knowledge and support others.
- Curiosity, initiative and a continuous improvement mindset.
It Would Be Great If You Also Have
- Experience with Snowflake, SSRS, SSIS or related data platforms.
- Understanding of APIs and data pipelines.
- Experience within financial services or other large, complex organisations.
