We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Contract Manager to lead our long-standing Thames Coromandel Roading Maintenance Contract, a well-established maintenance contract that Ventia has successfully delivered for 28 years.

Based primarily from our Thames office, you'll have flexibility to spend time across other operational offices as required.

About The Role

As Contract Manager, you'll have overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the contract, ensuring operational excellence, financial performance, client satisfaction, and a strong culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Leading a team of approximately 40 employees, you'll oversee a broad range of activities including:

  • Roading and infrastructure maintenance services
  • Minor construction works
  • Subcontractor management and performance
  • Programme delivery and resource planning
  • Contract financial management and reporting
  • Client relationship management
  • Health, Safety, Environment and Quality leadership
  • Workforce leadership, development and succession planning

About You

You'll be an experienced operational leader with a strong background in roading, civil infrastructure, maintenance, or contracting environments.

You'll Bring

  • Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure or maintenance contracts
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen
  • Experience leading operational teams and subcontractors
  • Excellent stakeholder and client relationship management skills
  • A commitment to safety leadership and operational excellence
  • The ability to build high-performing teams and drive positive outcomes
  • Knowledge of New Zealand roading and infrastructure maintenance environments (highly regarded)
