Senior Bridge Engineer – Whangārei

Join our Whangārei Bridge Team and help deliver bridge and civil structures projects across Northland. You'll work on bridge inspections, design, asset management, and project delivery, partnering with clients and multidisciplinary teams to achieve successful project outcomes.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver bridge and civil structures projects, including inspections, investigations, design, and asset management.
  • Scope engineering inputs, solve technical challenges, and develop practical client-focused solutions.
  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, designs, and supporting documentation.
  • Support project delivery through planning, budgeting, programming, and reporting.
  • Assist with procurement, construction monitoring, and contract management activities.
  • Maintain quality standards through technical review and verification processes.
  • Build strong client relationships and deliver excellent client service.

About You

  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 8 years' experience in bridge engineering or a related field.
  • CPEng qualified or working towards submission CPEng application.
  • Experience in bridge design, inspections, investigations, asset management, and project delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
  • A collaborative, solutions-focused, and client-centric approach.
  • A full, clean driver’s licence.

This position is full time, 40 hours and 5 days per week. The remuneration range for this position is $120,000 – $130,000 per annum, depending on experience.
