About the role | He kōrero mō tēnei tūranga
We’re looking for a passionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Community Nursing team in Ōtautahi Christchurch.
This is a highly autonomous role where you’ll deliver a wide range of clinical care in people’s homes, building meaningful relationships while making a tangible impact every day.
You’ll work alongside a multidisciplinary team of Nurses, Coordinators, Support Workers, and Allied Health professionals.
Your scope of care will include
- Palliative and end-of-life care (including syringe drivers)
- Complex and non-complex wound care (including negative pressure therapy and compression bandaging)
- Medication management (including methadone programmes)
- Diabetes management
- Catheter and bowel care
- Tunnel drain management
- Post-surgical cardio-thoracic and chest care
Flexibility & work structure
We provide a 24/7 service, with a shared roster designed to support work-life balance:
- Morning shift: 8:00am – 4:30pm
- Afternoon shift: 1:00pm – 9:30pm
- On-call: Approximately one overnight shift every four weeks
What you’ll bring | Ngā pūkenga
We’re looking for someone who is not only clinically capable but genuinely committed to community-based care.
You will have
- Current NZ Registered Nurse practising certificate
- At least one year of post-registration experience
- Strong clinical judgement and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building ability
- A passion for improving the lives of people in their own homes
- Full or restricted driver licence (essential for this role)
