Class 1 Delivery Driver (2 Positions)

Maur Transport Limited is a growing transport company providing delivery services under contract to a renowned supermarket. We are looking for two reliable and motivated Class 1 Delivery Drivers to join our Tauranga team and deliver online grocery orders safely and efficiently to customers.

Employment Type- Permanent, Full-time

Hours of Work- 30–35 hours per week, worked on a Rotating roster.

Pay Rate-NZD $25.00–$27.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a Class 1 vehicle to complete scheduled customer deliveries.
  • Deliver General freight and chilled and frozen goods, while meeting tight delivery schedules
  • Maintain high customer service standards.
  • Load, unload, and transport grocery items safely and efficiently.
  • Perform repetitive lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of products weighing up to 25kg throughout the shift.
  • Complete multiple customer deliveries accurately and within required timeframes and tight delivery schedules.
  • Conduct daily vehicle safety inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Comply with all road safety, health and safety, and company policies.
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service at every delivery location.

Skills and Requirements

  • Hold a current New Zealand Class 1 Driver Licence.
  • Have at least one year of experience in delivery driving.
  • Physically fit and capable of repetitive manual handling, including lifting items weighing up to 25kg.
  • Good time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • A strong commitment to safe driving and excellent customer service.
  • Must pass a police check and pre-employment drug test
  • Must be an NZ resident or have a valid work visa.

Availability- Applicants must be available to work

  • Applicants must be available to work split shifts, including:

    • Morning run: approximately 6:00 am – 9:00 am
    • Midday run: approximately 10:30 am – 1:00 pm
    • Afternoon run: approximately 2:30 pm – 5:00 pm

    Shift times may vary depending on operational requirements and delivery schedules. Applicants must also be available to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays as rostered.

  • Early morning starts at 5:30 am and late finish between 5:30pm
