The opportunity
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Finance Manager leads MASH Trust's finance function, providing strategic financial leadership across the organisation.
Leading a team of finance and payroll professionals, you will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury management, statutory reporting, audit, financial governance and business partnering. You'll work closely with senior leaders to provide trusted financial advice that supports sound decision-making while driving continuous improvement across finance systems, processes and reporting, including the ongoing optimisation of Workday Finance.
This is an opportunity for a commercially astute and collaborative finance leader who can balance strategic thinking with operational excellence in a complex, multi-site organisation.
Key areas of focus
- Lead a high-performing finance and payroll team.
- Deliver accurate financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
- Provide strategic financial advice and business partnering across the organisation.
- Strengthen financial governance, treasury management and risk controls.
- Drive continuous improvement across finance systems, reporting and processes.
- Support organisational performance through insightful financial analysis and planning.
About you
You will bring senior finance leadership experience and enjoy partnering with leaders to improve organisational performance.
You will likely have:
- CAANZ, CPA or equivalent accounting qualification.
- Experience leading finance functions and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, statutory reporting, treasury and audit.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and business partnering capability.
- Experience improving finance systems and processes (Workday or ERP experience desirable).
- Strong analytical, commercial and problem-solving skills.
- A collaborative leadership style and commitment to continuous improvement.
- An appreciation of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and culturally responsive practice.
