The Opportunity

This is your chance to work at the heart of NZME’s Audio team, creating standout visual content that connects audiences to our radio brands, podcasts, and digital platforms.

You’ll support the delivery of NZME’s Eyes to Ears digital strategy by producing creative, high-impact design across campaigns, promotions, and everyday content. Working closely with the Digital & Social Content Director – Audio and wider teams, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our brands remain fresh, engaging, and ahead of trends.

How You’ll Do It

  • Create engaging brand assets including imagery, motion graphics, and video content to support promotions, shows, podcasts, and campaigns
  • Partner with Digital, Content, and Commercial teams to bring ideas from concept through to execution
  • Identify content opportunities through Digital Content and Promo Calendars
  • Tailor design output to suit different audiences, platforms, and brand tones
  • Keep social templates and creative aligned to current trends and best practice
  • Support client campaigns by delivering high-quality, engaging assets
  • Use insights and performance data to refine and optimise creative output
  • Contribute ideas that drive audience engagement across digital and on-air platforms
  • Stay up to date with emerging design, digital, and social media trends

About You

Essential skills and experience:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a graphic design role
  • Relevant qualification in Graphic Design or Visual Communication
  • Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere Pro
  • Experience using AI generation tools to support design, creative output and content production
  • You'll have a portfolio of previous work displaying strong layout, typography, brand and campaign design
  • Ability to confidently manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
  • A proactive, positive team player who welcomes feedback and input

Preferred

  • Strong understanding of social media platform best practices, trends, and evolving content requirements, including aspect ratios and platform-specific optimisation
  • Understanding of media law (copyright, plagiarism, defamation)
  • Competency in After Effects or similar an advantage
  • Experience with HTML5 and GIFs preferred but not essential
  • Radio or media industry experience is advantageous but not essential

This is a full-time, permanent role based in Auckland CBD, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The salary range for this role is $65,000 - $72,000.
