The Opportunity
Our client is a well-established national charitable trust and recognised authority, providing leadership, training, education and support to more than 800 clinical and non-clinical members across Aotearoa New Zealand.
As the sole Communications Advisor, you will take ownership of communications across content, website and publications in a varied, hands-on role developing engaging content, ensuring brand consistency, and maintaining a strong online presence.
Working closely with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts, you will support sector awareness initiatives and deliver key communications that connect and inform members and the wider community.
Day To Day Your Role Will See You
- Develop and deliver engaging communications across multiple channels, ensuring brand is aligned
- Create content that will raise awareness of the services available
- Produce online publications including newsletters and member updates
- Curate publicly available resources such as articles, interviews, and presentations
- Support campaigns and awareness initiatives to promote services
- Manage and maintain the organisation’s website and content platform
- Maintain directories and ensure content is current and user-friendly
- Support the ongoing development and production of publications
- Work closely with staff and subject matter experts who contribute to publication content
- Ensure information is accurate, visible, and relevant to diverse audiences
- Contribute to the development of a communications calendar

About You
To succeed in this role, you will have proven experience in a communications or digital content role. You must be a confident communicator with strong writing capability and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
You Will Also Offer Knowledge Or Experience To
- Create compelling content for the appropriate audience and across a range of channels
- Manage brand, campaigns, and production of publications
- Manage websites or content management systems
- Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Produce publications or structured content outputs
- Offer a proactive and self-directed working style
Exposure to design tools or creating visual content is advantageous but not essential. In addition, an understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, Mātauranga Māori and te reo Māori, and its importance within Aotearoa, is valued.
