Join a global OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) leader in a construction & mining. This is a 12 month contract role with the potential to extend or become permanent.
Are you passionate about GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems), machine control, grade control, automation, surveying, and construction technology? We are seeking someone looking for a career as a Product Service Engineer to support industry-leading machine control, positioning, connectivity, and automation technologies used on heavy equipment across construction, mining, civil infrastructure, quarrying, and landfill operations.
You’ll start as a Product Validation Engineer where you’ll focus on
- Product testing and validation
- Machine simulation and field testing
- Product specification development
- Supporting engineering and product development teams
Then progress to being a Product Service Engineer where you’ll focus on
- Advanced Level 2/3 technical support
- Product quality ownership
- Dealer and customer engagement
- Technical leadership and continuous improvement
You’ll work with
- Grade Control systems
- Machine Control systems
- GNSS / GPS positioning technologies
- Surveying and site positioning solutions
- Excavator, Dozer, Grader and Compactor automation
- Cloud-based software platforms
- Connected jobsite solutions
- CAN (J1939) networks
- Ethernet communications
- Advanced sensors and automation systems
What we’re looking for
Qualifications in Civil Engineering, Surveying, Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or related disciplines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, experience with GNSS, machine control, automation, testing, surveying or technical support environments highly regarded.
Full New Zealand driving license

Important Information
- Based in our Inner West Christchurch office - 5 days a week
- Only New Zealand citizens or Permanent Residents or Australian citizens will be considered for this role.
