About the Role

We are seeking an ambitious and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our growing Enterprise Sales team.

This is a customer-facing role suited to someone who thrives on developing new business opportunities, building strong relationships, and delivering technology solutions that create measurable value for customers. You'll spend time both in our Manukau office and out meeting with enterprise and commercial clients across Auckland and beyond.

This is not an account maintenance role. We are looking for a proactive business developer with a strong sales mindset who enjoys identifying opportunities, opening doors, and converting prospects into long-term customers.

You will be supported by one of New Zealand's strongest technology teams, providing access to specialist expertise across cloud, cybersecurity, software licensing, AI, infrastructure, managed services, and enterprise hardware solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities across commercial and enterprise markets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers.
  • Understand customer business objectives, challenges, and operational requirements to recommend appropriate technology solutions.
  • Develop and present proposals, quotations, and strategic technology recommendations.
  • Collaborate with internal product specialists and technical teams to deliver customer outcomes.
  • Manage sales pipelines, forecasts, and CRM records to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to uncover growth opportunities.
  • Represent PB Tech at customer events, industry functions, technology showcases, and networking activities.
  • Consistently achieve and exceed sales and revenue targets.

About the Role

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Proven experience in business development, enterprise sales, account management, or B2B sales.
  • A strong track record of winning new business and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Confidence engaging with decision-makers at all organisational levels.
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to identify customer business needs.
  • Experience preparing and delivering persuasive sales presentations and proposals.
  • Self-motivation, initiative, and strong time-management skills.
  • Experience using CRM platforms and sales reporting tools.
  • A customer-focused approach and passion for delivering exceptional service.
