The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA) is a delivery focussed government agency whose purpose is to mobilise New Zealanders to be world leaders in clean and clever energy use. It designs and delivers innovative initiatives that contribute to its desired outcome of a sustainable energy system that supports the prosperity and wellbeing of current and future generations.

EECA is seeking its next Chief Executive – someone to take responsibility for the leadership of its programmes and ensure we maintain our position as a trusted authority with a strong focus on delivery. The role reports to the Board of Directors and has a leadership team of five. The Chief Executive builds and maintains strong relationships with both the private and public sector.

To be considered for this important appointment, you must be a dynamic and influential senior leader who displays exceptional people leadership and has a demonstrated innovative future-focus, particularly relating to the energy sector. You will have the ability to forge partnerships and have strong commercial acumen and strategic business capability. You will have experience working with or reporting to a Board, as well as partnering with government, industry and commercial stakeholders.
