Our Opportunity

We are looking for a Demand & Supply Planner to play a pivotal role in the planning of finished goods and raw materials to support our local manufacturing of Baking products.

You will take ownership for the co-ordination of business functions to set up the plan to meet customer expectations from forecasting their requirements through to execution. You will be partnering with sales, manufacturing, and customer service to ensure the smooth running of the planning process.

Your responsibilities will include :

  • Coordinating the demand and supply plans with customers, manufacturing and suppliers
  • managing supply risk and constraints and problem solving issues such as or short supply or dated stock
  • Ensuring internal/external stakeholders receive correct demand data monthly and communicate insights and trends from demand review to suppliers
  • Providing full reporting including on supplier performance, category DIFOT, vendor DIFOT and OOS daily
  • Reviewing inventory levels weekly and ensuring surplus stock is sold through quickly by the business

Note: This is a 12 month fixed term contract covering a parental leave

About you

In order to make this role a success we are looking for someone with an understanding and background in Supply Chain and Planning, preferably with experience in Food manufacturing.

Other key skills or experiences we are looking for in your application, include:

  • Prior experience in a planning role with a strength for negotiation and purchasing
  • CPIM / NZPICS qualifications are preferred but not essential
  • Experience of using SAP and SAP IBP, and advanced Excel skills
  • A working knowledge of the Food Manufacturing & FMCG industries would be extremely beneficial
