Salesforce Platform Lead

Medrecruit, part of the Medenterprises Group, is on a mission to improve the wellbeing of the medical profession. We’re building a doctor‑centric ecosystem that supports every stage of a doctor’s career - and our technology team is central to that mission.

We’re looking for a Salesforce Practice Lead who can combine people leadership, deep Salesforce expertise, and a passion for agentic AI to shape the next generation of our platforms. Internally, this role sits as a Chapter Lead, responsible for leading our Salesforce engineering capability, developing our people, and shaping our Salesforce and Agentforce strategy.

This hybrid role can be based out of our Gold Coast, Australia or Queenstown, New Zealand office. We are also open to considering exceptional candidates located in Auckland or Christchurch, New Zealand.

What You’ll Lead

• People leadership for a team of Salesforce Functional Consultants and Developers: coaching, mentoring, career development, and capability uplift.
• Salesforce strategy & delivery: setting direction, ensuring platform excellence, and driving continuous improvement.
• Agentforce & AI adoption: championing agentic AI practices, designing Agentforce agents, and establishing safe, effective AI workflows.
• Product discovery & delivery: collaborating with product, design, and business teams to deliver solutions that matter.
• Ways of working: facilitating workshops, improving team processes, and fostering a culture of experimentation and learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clear direction, goals, and priorities for the Salesforce chapter.
• Lead the design, build, deployment, and governance of Agentforce agents that augment workflows.
• Establish guardrails, evaluation practices, and observability for AI‑driven solutions.
• Ensure high‑quality configuration, customisation, and maintenance of Salesforce.
• Drive data governance, privacy compliance, and platform reliability.
• Collaborate across sales, marketing, and operations to align Salesforce with business strategy.
• Hire, onboard, mentor, and grow engineering talent.
• Facilitate guilds, craft development, and an AI/Agentforce community of practice.
• Use agile and lean approaches to keep the business responsive and innovative.

What You Bring

• 5+ years in senior Salesforce leadership roles.
• 2+ years of people leadership experience.
• Hands‑on experience with Agentforce or comparable agentic AI platforms.
• Strong capability with AI coding assistants (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor).
• Experience with MCP servers or similar AI‑integration patterns.
• Deep understanding of agile, lean, and modern engineering practices.
• Ability to coach, mentor, resolve conflict, and inspire teams.
• Strong communication skills with ability to present complex ideas to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• A passion for people, culture, and continuous improvement.
• Salesforce certifications (Admin, Platform Dev, Architect) and Agentforce Specialist credentials are highly desirable.
