We are partnered with a South Island owned and operated civil contractor looking for a Site or Project Engineer to be based in their Timaru branch. They have a strong pipeline in place across bulk earthworks, drainage, and roading.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee & manage daily onsite activities.
• Site sets outs and as builts using the rover and GPS equipment.
• Liaise with the contracts manager on programming.
• Interpret plans to ensure accuracy & quality.
• Ensure all safety requirements are met, prestart risk assessments, toolbox discussions, PPE equipment.
• Management of subcontractors & other parties.
• Plan and schedule work procedures to ensure projects are undertaken efficiently and in a cost-effective manner.
• Project quality assurance documentation and project reports.

The Ideal Candidate

• Exposure to civil construction projects.
• Experience dealing with subcontractors, key suppliers, and other parties.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Current driver’s license.
