About the role | Mō te tūranga

In this role, you play an important part in making complex financial processes clear and manageable for people. The work you do behind the scenes helps ensure things run smoothly, accurately, and on time.

As a Custodial Services Officer, you’ll be a key point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships and helping them understand what’s happening with their investments. You’ll work with a range of transactions and processes, where attention to detail and clear communication make a real difference to the client experience.

Your work will include:

  • Processing corporate actions and investment transactions
  • Managing cash and stock movements
  • Reconciling accounts and preparing settlements
  • Explaining complex information in a clear, simple way
  • Working closely with banks, brokers, and internal teams

This is a 13-month fixed-term opportunity based in Wellington.

You enjoy work that requires focus, accuracy, and attention to detail. You take pride in getting things right and are comfortable working in a structured, process-driven environment where deadlines matter.

You’re someone who can make sense of detailed information and communicate it in a clear and simple way. You stay organised, manage your time well, and remain calm when things are busy or changing.

You’ll bring:

  • Experience in financial services (banking, investments, or similar)
  • Understanding of the investment industry
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • The ability to work under deadlines and manage your time well

You communicate clearly, work well with others, and stay flexible as things change. Most importantly, you approach your work with care, professionalism, and a willingness to learn.
