What are electrical services?
Electrical services cover power and lighting in a building. They include mains power, switchboards, lighting, emergency power, earthing and power quality.
What The Electrical Team Does
Our electrical team designs safe, efficient power and lighting systems. We plan cable routes and infrastructure, size switchboards and backup power, integrate solar photovoltaics (PV), and coordinate with information and communications technology (ICT) pathways. We turn client goals into clear, buildable designs.

What You’ll Do
- Develop electrical designs for power, lighting and infrastructure that meet codes and client goals
- Contribute to cable routing, earthing, switchboards, backup power and solar PV
- Build models and reports for power studies, lighting, energy assessments and 3D layouts
- Coordinate with architects and other engineering disciplines to turn concepts into buildable solutions
- Join site visits to see designs installed, tested and commissioned
- Support client meetings, capture requirements and present clear options
- Improve the brief where you can deliver safer, simpler and more sustainable outcomes

About Our Graduate Program
Our two-year program builds your consulting and technical skills. You will work with clients, learn how projects move from sketch to site and grow your confidence as a trusted adviser. You will join social and networking events, rotate across disciplines and get hands on experience that sets you up for a strong career.
Must haves
- Near completion of, or recently completed, an electrical engineering degree
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Curious mindset with problem solving skills
- Available to start in 2027
- Full New Zealand working rights for the duration of the program
Nice to haves
- Internship or project experience in building services, power systems or lighting design
- Familiarity with Australian Standards and the National Construction Code (NCC)
- Exposure to design or modelling tools for power, lighting, energy or 3D drafting
- Interest in sustainability ratings such as Green Star and NABERS
- Involvement with Engineers Without Borders (EWB) or student societies
