What will you do?
We are looking for a registered Architect to join us on a 12 month fixed term basis to support delivery across a number of new and existing village projects.
As the Architect, you will take ownership of projects, maintain momentum and ensure high quality outcomes across a diverse portfolio. You will lead architectural delivery across multiple projects, working closely with internal teams and external consultants to deliver outcomes aligned to Ryman’s standards for quality, compliance and resident experience.
You will work across a mix of new build developments, village refurbishments and asset management initiatives, including care, serviced apartments and independent living environments. The role spans all project stages, from feasibility through to construction support, requiring strong coordination, technical capability and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Leading architectural delivery across multiple new build and existing village projects, ensuring quality, compliance and strong resident outcomes
- Managing and coordinating external architects, consultants and specialist designers to maintain alignment and momentum
- Overseeing design deliverables, approvals, programme milestones and key project actions to keep projects on track
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and design packages for buildability, operational suitability and overall design integrity
- Identifying and managing design risks across scope, cost, programme and compliance, supporting value management where appropriate
- Providing technical architectural guidance to internal stakeholders

Who Are You
- You are an experienced Registered Architect or Senior Architectural Designer who can confidently step into live projects and hit the ground running
- You have experience delivering large scale commercial, residential or complex projects, ideally including aged care, healthcare or retirement living
- You bring strong project running capability and are comfortable managing multiple workstreams independently
- You have strong capability in Revit, with experience using BIM 360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud
- You have a solid understanding of New Zealand building compliance and construction processes
- You bring proven experience managing external consultants and multidisciplinary teams
