We’re looking for a Business Specialist to join our Third Party Distribution whānau, supporting Business customers through the adviser channel and contributing to a growing, high-performing team.

Te tūranga | The role

Based in our Business Hub, you’ll support advisers and their business customers with lending across a range of complex and often multi-faceted applications.

You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Assessing and analysing business financials and risk across complex home and business lending applications
  • Preparing accurate credit submissions and providing lending recommendations, ensuring strong and timely outcomes
  • Supporting advisers to build capability across Business, Commercial and Home Lending
  • Building and maintaining relationships with third party mortgage brokers to grow and retain business
  • Delivering consistent, high-quality service to both internal and external stakeholders

This is a hands-on lending role where sound judgement, attention to detail and the ability to balance risk with customer outcomes are key.

You’ll bring proven experience in complex lending and be confident working with business financials and risk assessments.

We’re Looking For

  • Strong experience in business and/or complex lending
  • Confidence interpreting financials and making sound credit decisions
  • A high level of accuracy and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A current Retail CAA (Level 3 minimum) or SME Business Intermediate equivalent preferred
