We're looking for a skilled Metal Polisher to bring precision and craftsmanship to our team. You'll work across a range of surfaces and dies, selecting the right compounds, abrasives, and coatings to deliver flawless, high-quality finishes every time.

What you'll be doing

  • Polishing and finishing metal surfaces and dies to exact specifications
  • Inspecting dies for defects, wear, and damage before and after polishing
  • Applying surface treatments, coatings, and lubricants to protect and extend die life
  • Operating and maintaining polishing machines, grinders, and hand tools
  • Working closely with toolmakers, engineers, and quality control teams
  • Keeping accurate records of work completed
  • Picking, packing, and dispatching orders accurately and on time
  • Receiving and checking incoming stock and materials
  • Moving and storing goods safely using correct manual handling techniques
  • Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy, and organise

What we're looking for

  • At least 2 years' experience in metal polishing, grinding, or surface finishing
  • Hands-on experience with dies or precision tooling
  • Strong eye for detail and a commitment to quality
  • Knowledge of polishing compounds, abrasives, and surface coatings
  • A safe, organised approach to your work

These roles require workers to be available for work in Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawke’s Bay, Manawatū-Whanganui, Wellington, Tasman, Nelson, Marlborough, West Coast, Canterbury, Otago, Northland, Gisborne, Taranaki, and Southland. When workers are required to travel, appropriate travel and accommodation expenses will be provided. Guaranteed minimum of 30 hours of work per week.
