About the company?

Archway Recruitment are working with an established civil and structural engineering consultancy based on the Northshore, Auckland. They provide engineering design services across a wide range of residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects.

The team is actively involved in delivering complex developments with significant civil components, including land development, subdivisions and large-scale commercial projects requiring detailed siteworks and drainage design.

Recent projects include residential subdivisions, involving detailed stormwater modelling, ponds and pump stations. Commercial and industrial developments such as warehouses, logistics facilities and office buildings. They are also heavily involved in retirement villages, healthcare facilities and education projects with complex site servicing requirements.

The job on offer?

Responsibilities

You’ll join a collaborative civil team delivering end-to-end design on land development and building-related infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on stormwater and drainage. Key responsibilities include:

• Stormwater design for subdivisions, commercial developments and infrastructure projects
• Hydrological and hydraulic modelling of catchments and drainage networks
• Design of stormwater systems including pipe networks, detention ponds, treatment devices and overland flow paths
• Preparing civil drawings, reports and supporting consent documentation
• Client, architect and contractor coordination throughout design and construction phases

You’ll be comfortable using AutoCAD Civil 3D with 12d Model a bonus for land development work. Experience in stormwater modelling is useful with software experience across HEC-HMS or HEC-RAS for hydrology, along with XP-SWMM, InfoDrainage or similar platforms for drainage design.
