As our Safety and Wellbeing Business Partner, you'll play a critical role in embedding a proactive safety culture across our operations. Working alongside operational leaders, you'll move beyond compliance to influence behaviours, build capability and strengthen accountability at every level of the business.
You'll be the trusted advisor to leaders across manufacturing, distribution and branch operations, partnering with them to identify risks, improve systems, coach teams and deliver practical safety solutions that make a real difference.
This is a hands-on role where you'll spend time in our operations, engaging with people, supporting investigations, coaching leaders, facilitating training and driving continuous improvement. You'll also lead injury management and return-to-work processes, champion worker participation, and ensure our safety systems remain practical, effective and aligned with legislative requirements.
Success in this role comes from building trusted relationships, challenging constructively, and creating an environment where everyone takes ownership of safety and wellbeing.
What you'll bring
Proven experience in a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Business Partner or Advisor role within manufacturing, logistics, construction or another operational environment.
Strong working knowledge of New Zealand health and safety legislation and best practice.
The ability to influence, coach and challenge leaders to improve safety performance.
Experience leading incident investigations, risk management and continuous improvement initiatives.
Confidence facilitating engaging training and developing leadership capability.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build credibility across all levels of the business.
A practical, solutions-focused approach with the confidence to balance operational needs with safety outcomes.
A relevant Health and Safety qualification (or equivalent experience) and a current full driver's licence.
