An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our OT team within the in-patient Stroke Rehabilitation service at Woodend Hospital. This post will involve the assessment and ongoing rehabilitation of patients who have been referred to this specialist in-patient area, with flexibility to support services within SOARS and community rehabilitation. Joint working alongside a specialist multi-disciplinary team, supervision of junior staff, healthcare support workers and students within the OT team, and ongoing service development and improvement are integral parts of this job.
The applicant should have previous experience within a variety of both hospital and community settings, with specific experience and training within stroke assessment and/or rehabilitation. With future service developments, flexibility to work within both in-patient and out-patient services within patients homes and the community may be required to support discharge.
Opportunities for continued professional development and supervision are provided.
There may be a requirement in the future for weekend working / Public holiday working to meet the service needs.
