Role Description
The Channel Account Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Auckland, responsible for managing and growing relationships with IT service provider partners. In this role, the individual will develop account plans, identify new business opportunities, and drive adoption of Pax8’s AI and cloud offerings through the partner channel. Day-to-day activities include conducting regular partner meetings, providing product and marketplace guidance, coordinating with internal teams on pricing and promotions, and tracking sales performance to meet revenue and growth targets. The Channel Account Manager will also support partner enablement through training, joint marketing initiatives, and ongoing communication to ensure strong engagement and long-term success.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in channel sales, account management, or partner development within the IT or cloud technology sector.
- Strong skills in relationship building, negotiation, and stakeholder management, with the ability to influence and drive results through partners.
- Good understanding of cloud solutions, SaaS business models, and marketplace environments; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Solid commercial acumen, including pipeline management, forecasting, and meeting sales targets.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with comfort engaging at multiple levels within customer and partner organizations.
- Self-directed and organized, able to manage multiple accounts and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in or with SMB-focused IT service providers or managed service providers is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
