Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The Opportunity

At Chorus, we're building a high-performing Supply Chain team that plays a critical role in keeping New Zealand connected. As our Supply Chain Specialist, you'll take ownership of the end-to-end supply chain, ensuring the right materials are in the right place at the right time to support the build, maintenance and repair of our network.

This is far more than a purchasing or logistics role. You'll be the trusted link between our operational teams, service partners and suppliers, proactively managing procurement, inventory, logistics and supplier performance while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce risk and create value. You'll thrive in a fast-paced operational environment where no two days are the same, taking ownership of issues, solving problems before they become roadblocks, and ensuring our field teams have everything they need to deliver for our customers.

You'll join a collaborative team that's focused on accountability, continuous improvement and delivering exceptional operational outcomes. Whether you're optimising inventory levels, managing supplier relationships, resolving complex supply challenges or improving processes, your work will have a direct impact on the performance of one of New Zealand's most critical infrastructure networks.

We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment, enjoys taking ownership, and is passionate about delivering exceptional service while continuously improving the way things work.

You'll Bring

• Proven experience in an operational Supply Chain, Logistics or Procurement role, including consumption-based planning, purchasing and inventory management within a customer-focused environment.
• Experience providing critical supply chain support to a delivery or operations-focused organisation.
• Strong supplier and vendor management skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective operational relationships.
• Experience leading or driving improvements in return logistics and supply chain processes.
• Experience working within an integrated ERP environment, including purchasing, inventory and finance systems.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• A continuous improvement mindset, using data and insights to drive better decision-making and operational performance.
• Experience with inventory management systems and supply chain analytics.
• A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics Management, Procurement or a related discipline is preferred, but not essential.
