The opportunity Love working with animals? We've got a rare opening to join our Botanic Garden team as an Aviary Assistant. This is a hands-on role where you'll help care for our beautiful bird collection, support the Aviary Curator and play a part in creating an awesome experience for visitors and ensuring a high standard of care is delivered for this precious collection. This is a permanent part-time opportunity, working 18.75 hours per week across Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. What you'll be doing: Feeding and caring for the birds Cleaning and maintaining enclosures Monitoring bird health and behaviour Helping visitors and supporting education activities What we're looking for: Experience or training in animal care Reliable, practical and willing to learn Good attention to detail Friendly and able to work within a team Full driver licence prefered What we offer: The chance to work in a unique and rewarding environment with wildlife Permanent part-time opportunity (including weekend work) Supportive and collaborative team culture More information of our benefits can be found here DCC careers Salary range $56,453 - $64,087 per annum (pro rata for part-time).
