He Kōrero Mō Te Tūranga | The Role
We are looking for an experienced Service Manager to lead our EaseUp Youth Service based in Onehunga. EaseUp is a community-focused mobile service supporting rangatahi (young people) aged 12–24 with mental health and alcohol and other drug (AOD) challenges. In this role, you will provide clinical leadership and oversee a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, responsive, and high-quality support to rangatahi and their whānau.
In this role, you will:
- Provide clinical leadership to ensure safe, effective, and culturally responsive service delivery for rangatahi and whānau
- Lead, coach, and support a team of clinicians and peer support specialists to deliver high-quality care
- Oversee service operations, including staffing, resource management, and budget responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders such as schools, Oranga Tamariki, and community organisations
- Drive continuous improvement, ensuring services meet best practice, contractual, and quality standards
- Support the development of effective referral pathways and collaborative care approaches
- Promote a culture of health, safety, wellbeing, and high standards of care across the service
He Kōrero Mōu | About You
You are an experienced and values-driven leader with a passion for improving outcomes for rangatahi. You bring clinical expertise, strong leadership capability, and a collaborative approach to working with whānau and community partners.
You will bring
- A full registration and current Annual Practicing Certificate under the HPCA Act 2003 (e.g. Registered Nurse, Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist etc.)
- A minimum of 6 years’ experience in mental health and addiction services, including at least 1 year in a leadership or management role
- Strong experience leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering youth-focused services
- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop staff
- Must hold and maintain First Aid certification including CPR (or be willing and able to complete this)
- A full, clean NZ driver licence
