As Unit Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of catering and associated services at Kristin School in Albany, Auckland. This role requires strong operational leadership across day‑to‑day services and the planning and delivery of multiple functions and events, including school celebrations, formal occasions, and stakeholder engagements. You will ensure all services are delivered safely, professionally, and to an exceptional standard that supports the school community.
Ko o kawenga | Your responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate daily catering operations alongside the planning and execution of multiple functions and events.
- Hands-on experience managing service delivery across multiple operational sites or service points, ensuring alignment with contract requirements and Compass standards.
- Act as the primary client liaison, building trusted relationships and ensuring seamless communication for events and functions.
- Drive strong commercial outcomes through effective budgeting, labour planning, stock control, and cost management.
- Lead, coach, and develop teams while championing health, safety, food safety, and environmental compliance.

- Manage service delivery across multiple operational sites or service points, ensuring alignment with contract requirements and Compass standards.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple functions and events, including planning, coordination, and service delivery.
- Strong people leadership capability with the ability to motivate and develop high‑performing teams.
- Sound commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, costs, and operational performance.
- Highly organised, adaptable, and calm under pressure, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
