About the Company
Our client is a large, well-established New Zealand manufacturing business operating across a broad portfolio of product categories. With significant operational scale and a high-performing commercial finance function, this is a business where analytical rigour translates directly into commercial outcomes.
The Role
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will sit within the FP&A function and provide analytical support across costing, pricing, operations reporting, and the annual budgeting process. You will work closely with the Commercial, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure pricing decisions are well-informed and factory output is optimised across the product range.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain product cost differentials and pricing analysis across a wide range of product variants to support sales optimisation
- Provide price guidance to the Sales team, including storage cost modelling and variant pricing against base specifications
- Prepare routine operations reporting covering production volumes, product costing, and KPI performance
- Support the Commercial Manager on CAPEX business case analysis
- Take ownership of specific sections of the annual budgeting process, coordinating with department and site managers
- Maintain routine financial forecasting including input data validation, forecast drivers, and variance analysis
- Support NPD costing and product lifecycle review processes
- Contribute to ad hoc business projects and process documentation as required
Key Skills & Experience Required
- CA/CPA qualification desirable
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar commercial finance or FP&A role, preferably in a manufacturing or FMCG environment
- Dairy industry experience highly regarded
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; Power BI or similar reporting tools an advantage
- Strong analytical capability with high attention to detail
- Confident communicator with the ability to build effective working relationships across departments
- Self-starter who can manage competing priorities and meet deadlines under pressure
